North and South
Aeryn Cook
This show is based on the book North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. One of the main characters, Margaret Hale, has to move from Southern England to the North. She meets many people in her new home in the town of Milton. She is living in the time of the Industrial Revolution. Her father makes a new friend in Milton. His name is John Thornton and he owns a cotton mill. Margret does not like him when she first meets him. As time goes on John begins to have feelings for her but is afraid she may not feel the same way. He is not sure that she cares for him and there are a series of misunderstandings and it seems that he might forget about his feelings for her and not ever wish to see her again. I would rate this show with five out of five stars.
